Dark's Leave

Hey guys,

I just wanted to let you all know a little about what I've been dealing with and if I disappear for a while, this is why:

My stepmother has stage 4 cancer. She just finished her 6 rounds of chemotherapy, but the doctors took a spinal tap and discovered that the cancer is now in her brain. The chemo should have circulated up there, but there was a liquid blocking it. Now they have drilled a hole in her head and will have to make her go through 4 more rounds of chemo, just now it will be inserted in her skull. After that, they are going to take out her stem cells through her marrow. They will freeze it and input it back into her body. There is a 50/50 chance she will live from this.

Now my grandfather has been admitted to the hospital on my mother's side. Of all my grandparents, he was the one I was closest with. He can barely pick up a plastic fork, let alone a small cup of water. He is weak, he claims the food is all tasteless, and his dementia has hit very hard. My mom wants me to come back to CA, but I don't know for how long just yet.

The last few days, I had a horrible flu. I was vomiting, coughing, and my nose was running like a waterfall. Sorry for the disappearance and possible ones in the near future.
